DrakeFan1 [09/18/08]: Just got back from lunch at K.C. BBQ. The burnt ends were just as I remembered them and were excellent. I agree the portion seemed smaller, but still a great deal for a sandwich, fries and drink for under $6.00.
DrakeFan1 [09/17/08]: Were the burnt ends at K.C. still good, even if done differently? I'm going to try to get over there for lunch this week. I don't know anywhere else in Des Moines to get them, so I hope they're still good!
eatup [09/15/08]: went to When Pigs Fly all you can eat ribs- they were St. Louis style-so there was some jelly/gristle-which is expected. I ate about 8 ribs and was stuffed. Pretty good- included 2 sides. Would go again.
foolish501 [09/15/08]: had the burnt ends at kc bbq, not chopped up like before, just large cubes of meat. also portions not as big as before
foolish501 [09/15/08]: KC BBQ is open today, and looks to be under new ownership, as non of the old gang is there. just brought home burnt ends, i'll let you know if they've changed their food

DrakeFan1 [09/10/08]: On a BBQ related note, I hear KC BBQ is reopening. Now that is BBQ that is worth the drive. Fantastic burnt ends. Sauce is nothing too special, but the prices are fair.
DrakeFan1 [09/10/08]: Tried Papa Chubby's and was totally unimpressed. Nothing special at all, sauce was boring and too sweet. Also, my table was filthy dirty, which is gross!

eatup [08/21/08]: Has anybody attended the all you can eat ribs at When Pigs Fly on Monday after 2pm? Sounds like a good deal for only $12.99 + tax.
big mike [08/19/08]: Review- friday nite rib tips the best, ribs don't need sauce, want burnt ends ask, they make their own sauce and if you like hot get the "friekn hot" sauce.

DrakeFan1 [07/15/08]: Unquestionably Shane's Rib Shack in Clive. I was excited to see two places open by Drake, but both were a huge let down (Jethro's and Woody's). It's worth driving out west for better BBQ!
