A group of us went to Woodys Smoke shack today for lunch. I have heard many good things about this place and have not had a chance to make it over. I went for the 2 meats and 2 sides. The brisket and pulled pork were fantastic and had a great smokey flavor. I chose cheesy potatoes and coleslaw. Both were excellent, however I would choose a double of cheesy potatoes next time. After you are done eating they have a help yourself to corn bread with honey. Really had a great meal. With a drink it was about $12. Probably a little more than what I would spend for lunch- however I wanted to try a bit more. I would recommend that you try to get there early- table space is limited if the Patio is closed.

I was excited to see Woody's open right down the street, but was disappointed twice after eating there. The ribs were way too fatty and mushy and the brisket my friend had was like jerky that had been reheated. Sides didn't seem fresh at all and the prices were too high. I won't be back.

I was hoping that woodys would live up to Sammyjacks- I will have to give them a try myself sometime.
