We just returned to Samurai and I wasn't that impressed. Kind of like last time- the rolls were pretty bland. Unless you order something with eel it seems none of the rolls have much flavor. We did ask for a modified version of a roll that contained eel (we had the eel removed) but the rolls were still not that exciting.

The presentation is amazing here! The food looks like art and even if you order the same dish twice it never looks the same.
Some of their basic sushi rolls are bland but they seem bland everywhere. Their specialty rolls- like the Iowa Roll- are fantastic.
The lunchbox or the hibachi lunch meal are incredibly cheap for such a big lunch. Almost every meal comes with a side salad- and that has to be the worst thing about this place. It is generic iceberg lettuce with a few carrot shavings and ginger dressing. My sushi roll had romaine lettuce leaves in it- why would the salad be of such a lower quality?
